Cryptocurrency hacker who broke into FTX became one of the largest holders of Ethereum

Just a day after the FTX exchange filed for bankruptcy, more than $ 663 million worth of cryptocurrency was stolen from its wallets, according to analytics company Elliptic. In particular, the hacker owns 228,523 ETH worth $ 288.8 million at the current rate. This makes his «FTX Accounts Drainer» account the 35th largest holder of this cryptocurrency.

It is worth noting that the largest Ethereum whale at the moment is the Beacon Chain blockchain, with 15 million ETH on its account. In addition, most of those in the top 20 Ethereum holders are crypto exchanges, Level 2 protocols, and decentralized finance (DeFi) bridges.
