Cryptocurrency will be used to buy real estate in Canada

Canadian real estate developer SKYBLÜ Condos Cité Mirabel has launched the possibility of buying real estate for cryptocurrency, the company’s owner Ray Junior Courtemanche has announced.

According to Ray Junior Courtemanche, the introduction of the payment option in digital assets is due to the growing demand for cryptocurrency around the world. From now on, instead of using fiat currency to purchase real estate from a Canadian developer, customers will be able to pay for a large-scale purchase with cryptocurrency (however, it is not yet known which tokens will be accepted for payment).

«More and more people are investing in cryptocurrencies and want to make crypto transactions. I’ve been thinking about integrating digital payments for real estate purchases from SKYBLÜ Condos Cité Mirabel for a long time, and today is the day,» said Courtenay.

The trend of buying real estate for virtual assets is already popular in Ukraine. Recently, the developer DIM opened the possibility of buying apartments for cryptocurrency. At the first stages, USDC, USDT, BUSD, and DAI will be accepted. You can also buy real estate in Dubai, Portugal, and Brazil with cryptocurrency.
