Cryptocurrencies will help Iran to circumvent sanctions
This week, Iran registered its first official order for the import of goods paid for in cryptocurrency worth $ 10 million. This was reported on Tuesday by the semi-official Tasnim news agency, citing an official representative of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade.
«The first official import order worth $ 10 million using cryptocurrency was successfully completed this week. By theend of September, the use of cryptocurrencies and smart contracts will be widely used in foreign trade with target countries,» said Alireza Peymanpak, head of the Iranian Trade Development Organization.
The agency did not specify which cryptocurrency Iran used. Earlier, Iranian citizens Binance-nezakonno-obslugovuvala-meshkancziv-iranu-vprodovzh-2-rokiv/">stated that they used the Binance crypto exchange to conduct cryptocurrency transactions despite the sanctions.
