Cryptocurrencies are called the most important stage in the development of digital communications for business

According to a survey conducted by Deloitte in cooperation with PayPal, private businesses of all sizes will be able to send and receive crypto payments seamlessly in the near future.

«Respondents are very optimistic about digital currencies in the consumer market. They agree that digital payment acceptance is expected to become widespread in the near term,» Deloitte said.

The survey focused on U.S. consumer businesses with annual revenues under $ 10 million, up to $ 500 million, and more.

Results:

1. About two-thirds (64%) of the surveyed entrepreneurs said that their customers are interested in using digital payments. «These are staggering numbers considering that the majority of the population doesn’t even know what stablecoin is. If merchants are noticing this trend, it’s likely that it exists,» the auditors note.
2. 83% expect consumer interest in cryptocurrencies for payments to increase over the next 12 months.
3. More than 85% of businesses place a high or very high priority on cryptocurrency payments, while approximately 83% do the same for stablecoins.
4. About 85% of respondents expect digital currency payments to be ubiquitous among suppliers in their industry in five years.
5. Almost three-quarters of respondents reported plans to accept cryptocurrency or stablecoin payments within the next 24 months.
6. The vast majority of those who currently accept cryptocurrency as a payment instrument (93%) have already felt a positive impact on their performance: a growing customer base and increased brand awareness.
7. More than half (54%) of large businesses (with revenues of $ 500 million or more) have invested more than $ 1 million in cryptocurrency payment capabilities, while only 6% of small businesses (with revenues of less than $ 10 million) have done the same.
