Charles Hoskinson Hospital to accept payment in ADA

Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, has announced the launch of his new brainchild, Hoskinson Health & Wellness Clinic. Patients of the clinic will be able to pay for medical services using ADA, a native token of the Cardano ecosystem. Hoskinson shared the news on Twitter. When one of his followers asked if the clinic’s clients would be able to pay their bills with ADA, the Cardano father replied: «Yes.»

Hoskinson noted that the medical facility will start accepting patients in February 2023. However, he did not specify whether the hospital would accept other cryptocurrencies, such as the most popular bitcoin (BTC) and ethereum (ETH).

According to the clinic’s website, Hoskinson Health & Wellness Clinic is located in Wyoming, USA. The clinic offers its clients a wide range of medical services, including primary medical and psychiatric care, medical examinations, oncology diagnostics, and professional consultations. The healthcare facility will also specialize in prolonging the life of elderly patients, biological supplements, diets, and physiotherapy. The company’s LinkedIn page informs that the hospital currently has only ten employees and is working to increase the number of staff.

Back in the fall, Hoskinson said that he would not mind creating a startup that would specialize in extending human life. He wanted no one less than Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin as a partner. However, Hoskinson did not see any prospects in his tandem with the father of Ethereum to work on cryptocurrency projects. The founder of Cardano is offended by the Ethereum Foundation, which, according to him, ignores Cardano technology because of personal animosity.
