Lviv students will work on developing their own artificial intelligence
According to the official website of Ivan Franko University of Lviv, the university has opened an artificial intelligence research and education hub, AIT Research & Learning HUB. The lab will enable students, postgraduates, and young IT professionals to develop by joining projects and research in the field of artificial intelligence technologies and create their own inventions.
The new hub was launched with the support of ELEKS and the Lviv Regional Military Administration. «Supporting the Lab is an important and timely decision by ELEKS. We contribute to strengthening the practical component of students' education, and this requires an appropriate environment, premises, and colleagues who can pass on this practical knowledge,» said Oleksandra Mokiy, Head of Training and Development Office at ELEKS.
Traditional IT projects are planned to be held on the basis of the laboratory: «AITSS Summer School» (Artificial intelligence technology summer school) and «DES Winter School» (Data Engineering and Security).
«It is important that the IT industry cares about its future specialists, students, and provides them with as many opportunities as possible for successful realization in the profession,» said Vitalii Kukharskyi, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and Informatization of LNU.
