A man posing as a Bitcoin developer threatens the founder of the XRP cryptocurrency

An argument took place on Twitter between Australian scientist Craig Wright, who claims to be Сатоші Накамото" href="https://noworries.media/biography/satoshi-nakamoto/" data-bio-id="4232">Satoshi Nakamoto, and Ripple’s chief technology officer David Schwartz. The scandal between Wright and Schwartz centered on the XRP cryptocurrency developed by Ripple Labs.

It all started when Ripple’s CTO criticized the pseudo-developer's view of the institutional adoption of bitcoin. Wright responded by accusing Schwartz of being ignorant about finance, the legal framework, investments, and the structure of bitcoin in general.

«On the other hand, he designed XRP… the most useless pump and dump scheme in the entire crypto industry ,» Wright wrote on Twitter. In turn, Schwartz accused Wright of abusing the legal system.

The Ripple CEO called Craig Wright a coward who sues people for sharing their opinions. In response, the pseudo Satoshi Nakamoto once again threatened to file a lawsuit, because «any statement about Wright must be supported by factual evidence, otherwise it may be considered libel.»

Although most members of the cryptocurrency community do not believe that Kite is a bitcoin developer, his words about lawsuits should be taken seriously — in early August, Wright won a lawsuit against blogger Peter McCormack. The UK court ordered McCormack to pay compensation to the pseudo-founder of BTC in the amount of 1 pound — all because of Peter McCormack’s «false testimony». The self-proclaimed Satoshi Nakamoto filed a lawsuit to defend his own honor back in 2019, when Wright demanded 100,000 pounds as compensation for non-pecuniary damage and legal fees.
