Solana cryptocurrency network goes down due to bot attack

The Solana network is down and out of service — Solana lost consensus around midnight due to a huge number of transactions (4 million per second) flooding its blockchain.

Operators started restarting the nodes after the network was down for almost 7 hours.

The information that it was a bot that caused the crash was officially confirmed by the blockchain developers, who promised to conduct a defense deployment against such attacks.
