Today’s technical work on the platform lasted no more than 15 minutes, so it did not affect the exchange’s customers. From now on, BNB Smart Chain is protected from possible hacker attacks, as Binance employees emphasized that the updated network is stable.
on October 7, it became known about a large-scale exploit that took place in the BNB Smart Chain network. The hackers carried out the attack using Venus Protocol loans. Later it became known that the hackers launched a fake token immediately after the exploit, and the attackers managed to earn more than 60 ETH by passing off their token as BNB. The hackers minted more than 1 quadrillion BNBHACKERINU, hoping to raise even more money. Binance then notified the cryptocurrency community about the fake BNBHACKERINU token and others that the hackers could have created.
