Meta launches an avatar store for multiverses
The Meta platform has announced the launch of an online digital clothing store for Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger users — from now on, everyone will be able to buy branded items for their avatars.

«Digital goods will become an important way of self-expression in the meta-universe and a major driver of the creative economy,» — explained Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta. It is currently known that the store will feature items by Prada, Balenciaga, and Thom Browne, and, as Zuckerberg promised, the range will soon expand significantly.
The exact date of the digital store’s launch has not yet been announced. Users also hope that virtual clothes will be cheaper than their real counterparts.
It is noticeable that modern fashion brands are increasingly integrating into the virtual world. For instance, the eccentric couture brand Balenciaga recently announced that it will start accepting cryptocurrency payments, in particular, in BTC and ETH. Cryptocurrencies will be available in Balenciaga’s flagship stores in Los Angeles and New York, as well as online on the brand’s website.
