The developers of the Dogecoin meme cryptocurrency have announced the launch of Dogecoin Core 1.14.6 update, which will improve the security and efficiency of the blockchain. The update will also reduce the commission for Dogecoin cryptocurrency by 100 times.

According to the information provided by the developers, Dogecoin Core 1.14.6 has improved the reliability of the transaction loading system and optimized memory management in high traffic conditions. Other significant changes include: the fee for each kilobyte of transaction is 0.01 DOGE; the number of addnode entries is limited to 800; reducing the network’s vulnerability to spam attacks by changing a number of parameters related to network fees.

As a reminder, Elon Musk, a well-known Dogecoin supporter, said that his car company Tesla has sold 75% of its bitcoins, all due to a drop in the company’s profits as a result of production problems due to COVID-19. However, the billionaire emphasized that Tesla has not sold a single Dogecoin and remains «open» to future investments in cryptocurrencies.
