Argentina’s largest bank starts selling cryptocurrencies
Banco Galicia, the largest private bank in Argentina, has started selling four cryptocurrencies. The bank’s customers can now buy Bitcoin, Ethereum, USD Coin, and XRP.
Yesterday, the first screenshots appeared on Twitter and later the bank’s representatives confirmed this information. «Banco Galicia has launched a new innovative service that allows customers to buy, sell, and store cryptocurrencies easily and securely,» the official statement said.

As of today, there are only 4 cryptocurrencies, but the bank has officially confirmed its intention to expand the list of cryptocurrencies in the future.
Such popularity of cryptocurrencies in the country is associated with one of the highest inflation rates in the world — last year it amounted to more than 50%, according to the central bank of Argentina.
