Twitter to sue Elon Musk in the coming days

Twitter’s management has hired the law firm Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz to prepare a lawsuit against billionaire Elon Musk, who broke off the deal to buy the social network for $ 44 billion.

According to people close to the company (who wished to remain anonymous), Twitter plans to file a lawsuit against Musk this week. However, no official comments have been published from company representatives on the exact dates of the lawsuit against the Tesla CEO.

A few days earlier, Bret Taylor, Chairman of the Board of Twitter, said: «Twitter's board of directors is committed to closing the deal at the price and terms agreed with Musk and plans to sue to enforce the agreement. We are confident that we will prevail in the Delaware court.»

Earlier, the star entrepreneur accused the social network of violating their agreement and providing false information. In his statement, Musk said that his side had made requests for data and information necessary to «conduct an independent assessment of the prevalence of fake or spam accounts on the Twitter platform.» However, according to Elon Musk, the company did not provide such information.
