The most expensive painting is planned to be converted into cryptocurrency tokens

The painting «Savior of the World» attributed to Leonardo da Vinci and estimated at $ 450 million will be converted into non-fungible tokens.

The tokenization will be carried out by ElmonX, a digital asset platform, and Bridgeman Images, an international image licensing company. The terms of the auction, which is scheduled to start on August 12, are expected to be announced soon.

A representative of Bridgeman Images clarified that the financial terms of the deal remain confidential:

«But we license images for ElmonX in much the same way as we do for any commercial project. We license high quality images and video for advertisers, filmmakers, publishers, and designers across all industries.»

Previous NFTs released through the partnership include Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Van Gogh’s Starry Night, Auguste Rodin’s The Thinker, and Claude Monet’s Water Lilies. The Mona Lisa was sold in an amount of 330 NFTs at a price of £150 per token.
