Board games transferred to blockchain technology
Emergents TCG, a digital card game built on the Tezos blockchain, has announced that it has entered a public beta to give participants the opportunity to collect rare NFT cards. The public beta version of the game is published by InterPop, a Web3 digital entertainment company.
InterPop CEO Brian David-Marshall emphasizes that the company’s goal was not to create «the best blockchain game,» but rather one that could «match the best-in-class card games and recreate the feeling people get from buying, selling, and trading Magic or Pokemon cards in the real world.»
Currently, InterPop boasts its own digital comic book universe, which enriches the Emergents TCG universe with new stories created by a tandem of the brightest digital graphic artists — Amanda Conner, Colin Doran, Juan Doe, Steve Ellis, Bill Sienkiewicz, Yuko Shimizu and others. Owning a comic will mean that readers will be able to vote on events and editorial decisions that will affect the release of comics. They can help determine which cover will be used, what the character designs will look like, and even which characters will live or die.
After a successful year of gaming, Emergents TCG decided to launch an exclusive flash sale of «Super Booster» card sets for their community. These sets will have three levels of uniqueness, of which two — «Super Booster» and «Rare Super Booster» — are available for purchase for 50 TEZ and 175 TEZ or via credit card. «Epic Super Booster» will contain the rarest items in the Emergents universe. The set will be available in only 8 copies, each of which will be sold at auction.
The Super Booster packs will be available for purchase starting August 19.
