NFT Dogwifhat sold for $ 4.3 million

The alleged owner of a dog named Achi, which is the symbol of the Dogwifhat (WIF) memecoin, sold a photo of the animal at an auction as an NFT. Crypto trader Gigantic Rebirth Ventures paid 1,210.8 ETH for it.

A representative of the Foundation platform, which hosted the auction, wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) account:

«On November 17, 2018, Achi’s owners took a picture of him wearing a magic hat. The picture went viral and eventually turned into a meme and mascot for the WIF meme convention. Today, this image was purchased by Gigantic Rebirth Ventures for 1,210,759 ETH.»
