NFT tokens of BAYC collection were used in a video of hip-hop music icons

Rappers Snoop Dogg and Eminem have released a joint music video with their NFT tokens from the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection.

The music video for the song «From The D 2 The LBC» was presented today at ApeFest 2022 (organized by Bored Ape Yacht Club). The video uses NFTs of Snoop Dogg’s Bored Ape #6723 and Eminem’s Bored Ape #9055. According to the rappers, the idea to create a video with non-fungible tokens was kept secret to surprise users.

Rappers have long been interested in fungible tokens and Web3 technologies. So back in January, Eminem purchased NFT Bored Ape Yacht Club #9055 for 123 ETH (which was $ 450,000 at the time). And earlier this week, Snoop Dogg filed an application for the registration of new trademarks UNCLE SNOOP and UNCLE SNOOP’S — all for the future meta-universe and a collection of non-fungible tokens. The rapper’s activities in virtual reality will cover many areas: clothing and accessories, footwear, virtual marijuana, smoking products, and NFT collections.
