NFTs from the most popular NFT collection are now available for rent

Blockchain accelerator Mouse Belt Labs has announced the launch of the Bored Jobs marketplace for the legal rental of NFT Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC).

Bored Jobs became the first licensed platform for renting BAYC intellectual property for commercial brands. From now on, bored monkeys can be made the «face» of any brand or part of a marketing campaign. This is also beneficial for the owners of the Bored Ape Yacht Club non-fungible tokens, as the value of the collection will increase and they will be able to recoup their costs of purchasing NFTs.

«We noticed that NFT holders wanted to make their monkeys work, and brands wanted to rent these monkeys, but neither party knew how to contact the other. So we standardized the legal process of communication and transactions. From now on, both brands and NFT owners will be able to unlock new potential,» explained Mouse Belt co-founder Patrick McLean.

According to Patrick McLean, within 24 hours of the launch, the platform received more than 200 applications from BAYC owners who are ready to rent their collections. Mouse Belt hopes to publish all 10,000 BAYCs on its website. Most likely, such a service will prevent intellectual property theft, which has become a frequent problem in the NFT environment. For example, Yuga Labs recently filed a lawsuit against digital artist Ryder Ripps, who forged NFT tokens of bored monkeys.
