Operator Socios has invested $ 100 million in the metaverse of a football club

Chiliz, the company that owns the Socios platform, has invested $ 100 million in NFT and the FC Barcelona metaverse. The company acquired a 24.5% stake in Barça Studios, a division of the Spanish football giant that creates digital content.

According to Socios representatives, the deal is aimed at developing the club’s Web3 ecosystem, including new products and features.
