WordPress plugin helps to set up payment with cryptocurrencies

A cryptocurrency plugin has recently been added to the WordPress repository. DePay Donations is the world’s first open source plugin that allows websites to accept P2P donations in cryptocurrencies. Its feature is the automatic decentralized conversion of incoming donations into tokens chosen by the recipient. The plugin is installed for free.

WordPress website owners usually use two different ways to accept cryptocurrency transfers. The first is a centralized gateway. In this case, users have to trust intermediaries who accept donations on behalf of the recipient. In addition, gateways have a limited range of cryptocurrencies they can accept.

The second way is to publish wallet addresses directly on the website. But this takes time, because users have to follow different wallets at once and have to convert tokens to hedge against volatility.
