Digital NFT token platform creates project to help Ukraine
LaCollection, a non-fungible token platform, has started working with international artists to raise funds for Ukrainian cultural institutions that are suffering as a result of Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine. In particular, for the Odesa Art Museum, the National Art Museum of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory.
The initiative was created jointly with the art collective United Artists for Ukraine, which is curated by the world-famous Serbian performer and artist Marina Abramovic and Israeli designer and architect Ron Arad. The project aims «to raise vital funds and awareness for Ukrainian cultural institutions that have been severely affected by the war, as well as for art projects currently underway in Ukraine.»NFT tokens were designed by Ukrainian artist Iryna Ozarynska. The collection consists of graphic portraits of 10 prominent artists from around the world, including Andy Warhol, Piet Mondrian, Frida Kahlo, Salvador Dali, and others. The initiative is organized jointly with The Hexagon Society, a French-English art foundation launched after Brexit to promote European culture in the United Kingdom. The digital artworks will be auctioned until December 31 and can be purchased on the laCollection website.
Last month, the Kharkiv Art Museum launched a Binance/">new token collection on the Binance NFT marketplace to help raise money for the preservation of the exhibition. It includes 15 works of art from the museum’s collection. The proceeds will also be used to restore Ukraine’s cultural heritage.
