Prada to issue 100 NFTs

The Italian fashion house Prada is launching a new line of clothing with serial numbers linked to non-fungible tokens. Earlier, the Gucci brand announced the acceptance of cryptocurrency payments, and recently Balenciaga joined the crypto fever.

Prada has announced that it will release a collection of 100 NFTs. The new clothing line is called Timecapsule. Clothes buyers will receive a free NFT that will be transferred to their wallet at the same time as the purchase. Timecapsule is a project launched by Prada in 2019, when the company started producing ultra-limited clothing lines under this name. According to the company, buyers of previous «time capsules» will also receive NFTs.

The non-fungible tokens are GIFs with images of black and white shirts with a branded print. Previously, Prada has already had experience in creating NFTs — together with the Adidas brand, the Adidas for Prada Resource collection was created on the Polygon blockchain. The total trading volume of the collection amounted to almost 500 ETH.
