President Volodymyr Zelenskyy promoted a T-shirt created on the basis of NFT token
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke at an international security summit wearing a T-shirt with the image of the non-fungible token Spray Paint Ukraine. The NFT was created by a 16-year-old girl in support of Ukraine.
«She wrote me a letter asking me to support her initiative called Spray Paint Ukraine. This is an initiative to help Ukraine. She created this NFT image and gave me this T-shirt to wear and thus help everyone know about the initiative,» — zelensky said before his speech.
The garment was created by Ava So, a young designer from Singapore who supports Ukraine. The T-shirt depicts a girl drawing the «future of Ukraine» on a yellow and blue background. Ava first made the T-shirt (it took 3 weeks), and then finalized the illustration and turned it into an NFT. Currently, only the T-shirt is available on the Bigbeyond website (it costs $ 100) — there were only 100 non-fungible tokens and they were sold out immediately.
«I created an NFT called Spray Paint Ukraine. This is a young Ukrainian girl who boldly paints a new future. Why a young girl? Because half of the world is women, and the other half is their sons. The bigbeyond. io website has a limited number of 100 NFTs with a free T-shirt as a gift. Or you can just buy T-shirts on dotrdotr.com,» the designer wrote on Instagram.
Spray Paint Ukraine is not the only NFT created to support Ukraine. Recently, non-fungible tokens have become a way of popularizing Ukrainian culture, highlighting the real situation and helping Ukrainians. Thus, on June 14, the Ukraine-NoWarNoWar NFT collection hit the daily top sales on OpenSea. The authors of the non-fungible tokens want to draw the community’s attention to the nuclear threat and call for an end to the war in Ukraine for the sake of peace.
