Prince of Serbia and Yugoslavia proposes to teach children blockchain and bitcoin technology
The Crown Prince of Serbia and Yugoslavia, Filip Karageorgovic, is promoting the idea that a new generation of children should be taught the correct behavior with cryptocurrencies from school age. At the same time, the prince wants educational institutions around the world to implement innovations.
During the Surfin' Bitcoin 2022 conference in France, Philippe Karageorgievich emphasized that if children know about bitcoin and its benefits, it will significantly increase the adoption and use of cryptocurrencies in the future. «Children need to understand what bitcoin is all about. They need to know the history of money, but schools don’t teach this,» he said.
The Prince of Serbia and Yugoslavia cited the example of his own family: his four-year-old son Stefan is interested in bitcoin and is trying to understand what the first cryptocurrency can be used for: «He is trying to understand the idea of bitcoin. So far, he knows that there is such a cryptocurrency and that his father often talks about it.»
Karageorgievich calls himself a «bitcoin enthusiast and maximalist». Earlier, he said that BTC is perfect for Islamic countries because it is «ideal money under Sharia law.» He also considers bitcoin to be «a free and strong asset that will not suffer from inflation.»
By the way, this is not the first European royal family to be interested in the cryptocurrency industry. Earlier, Czech Prince William Rudolph Lobkowitz announced plans to digitize his family’s 700-year-old castles and art collections — virtual images of ancient works of architecture and art will become the basis of the NFT collection.
