Reddit has developed NFT avatar functionality

The Reddit platform has announced the launch of its own NFT avatars functionality — users will be able to buy images for their profiles using fiat funds.

According to Reddit representatives, you don’t need to have a cryptocurrency wallet to buy NFT avatars, a credit or debit card is enough. It is also advised to create your own wallet on the Reddit platform to store the purchased NFTs.

In total, 90 different avatar designs will be released: the total number of NFTs available for sale will be in the «tens of thousands.» All tokens have fixed prices: $ 9.99, $ 24.99, $ 49.99, $ 74.99, and $ 99.99. After purchasing an NFT avatar, each user will receive ownership of his or her own non-fungible token and will be able to use it on other platforms.

The avatar theme has long been developed by Meta Corporation, which recently announced the launch of a digital clothing store for Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger users so that everyone can buy branded items for their avatars. It is currently known that the store will feature items by Prada, Balenciaga, and Thom Browne, and Zuckerberg promised that the range will soon expand significantly.
