Revolut to add support for 29 new cryptocurrencies
The British bank Revolut has announced a large-scale update: the bank will list 29 new cryptocurrencies, including Elon Musk’s favorite token Dogecoin (DOGE).
By adding support for new digital assets, Revolut hopes to compete with cryptocurrency companies Robinhood and Coinbase-zapuskaye-dodatok-dlya-perevirky-pryhylnyh-do-kryptovalyuty-politykiv/">Coinbase. «Today, we have almost quadrupled our crypto portfolio to provide our clients with access to a much larger crypto offering ,» said Mazen Eljundi, head of the bank’s cryptocurrency division.
The expansion of cryptocurrency opportunities at Revolut will attract a large number of new customers. However, some of the tokens are still awaiting authorization from the US Treasury Department. Only after receiving the necessary documents will Revolut be able to add them to the list of available cryptocurrencies.
Obviously, Revolut has already realized the prospects and advantages of the cryptocurrency industry, so the bank is actively developing in this direction. Thus, in early August, it became known that Revolut has expanded its cryptocurrency services to the Eurozone, and more than 17 million European customers have been able to conduct cryptocurrency transactions. «We welcome the pan-European regulation and wholeheartedly support the European Parliament’s clear intention to support innovation while requiring strong customer protection measures to prevent any type of market abuse,» Revolut representatives said at the time.
