Ukrainian electronic signature recognized in Europe
The Ukrainian electronic signature has successfully passed the eSignature Validation Plugtests 2022 and is now valid in all European Union countries.
According to Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the Ukrainian electronic signature meets all European technical standards and is ready for use outside Ukraine. Mykhailo Fedorov emphasized that mutual recognition of electronic signatures is an important part of Ukraine’s digital European integration and opens up many new opportunities for business. For example, it will become much easier for entrepreneurs to conclude online contracts with foreign partners and open international accounts.
Despite the war in Ukraine, the country is actively developing in all areas, and the digital and cryptocurrency sector is no exception. Ukraine has recently received observer status within the European Blockchain Partnership (EBP). The country’s representative was Oleksandr Borniakov, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation for IT Development. On March 16, Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the draft law «On Virtual Assets», which regulates the responsibilities of crypto exchanges and other service providers.
