Cryptocurrency wallet developer MetaMask is ready to take on Apple
MetaMask co-founder and former Apple employee Dan Finley said that he fully supports the cryptocurrency industry that decided to abandon the Apple App Store. According to the expert, the 30% tax imposed on the platform is a direct abuse of power and monopolization.
This was Dan Finley’s response to the news that the Coinbase Wallet app was blocked in the App Store until its developers suspended the NFT token transfer function. On Thursday, December 1, representatives of Coinbase Wallet announced that their customers will no longer be able to exchange NFTs in the iOS application.
It was also stated that even if the client is willing to pay too much commission, he or she will still not be able to conduct transactions with non-fungible tokens, as Apple has not integrated support for the Ethereum blockchain.
In turn, Dan Finley noted that all other wallets will face the same fate. He also confirmed: MetaMask is ready to abandon the Apple ecosystem. Experts emphasize that it is not yet clear what this will mean for MetaMask users on iOS, as there are no official comments on further actions.
