The developer of one of the most famous cryptocurrencies will search for aliens

11:26 am, June 18, 2023

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson is currently searching for a UFO — or some kind of cosmic entity — that crashed off the coast of Papua New Guinea in the Pacific Ocean.

The search is part of the Galileo project, for which Hoskinson allocated $ 1.5 million in March.

The project involves an expedition led by Harvard astronomer Avi Loeb and his student Amir Siraj, who identified the object as an «interstellar meteor» that fell to Earth from space in 2014.

The interstellar origin of the object has been confirmed by the US Department of Defense, and the Galileo team may have already found some of its remnants.

In a tweet on June 16, Hoskinson confirmed that he is currently on the expedition with the team and said that they have found strange pieces of wire and fragments that could be debris from the crash site.

«There's a lot of ground to survey and we haven’t even started yet ,» he said.

On his blog the same day, Loeb wrote: «Luckily, we already have one anomaly: manganese-platinum wire, which is different from normal commercial products.»

In March 2022, Cardano’s founder participated in a $ 75 million funding round for Colossal, a Texas-based biological startup that aims to resurrect woolly mammoths and other extinct species.
