Dogecoin developers have learned to conduct transactions without the Internet thanks to Elon Musk’s satellites

The DogeCoin developers have announced that they have managed to complete the first DogeCoin transaction using radio technology and without the need for a classic Internet connection.

RadioDoge technology is based on a low-cost HF/LoRaWAN radio signal that is widely relayed through Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite network. This gives the DogeCoin network the world’s cheapest way to process transactions, which works even in places where there is no traditional Internet coverage. The technology will be applied wherever the quality of the Internet signal is either very low or there is no signal at all.

The move is part of Libdogecoin’s global initiative to turn the «doji» into the world’s main Internet currency. In particular, to give access to 1.7 billion people who do not use banking services to cheap and fast mutual settlements.
