Fortnite developers have added the first NFT game to their marketplace
The video game developer Epic Games has added the first NFT game to its Epic Games Store marketplace — from now on, users will be able to download Blankos Block Party by Mythical Games in the Epic Games Store.
As it became known, Blankos Block Party is a free-to-play NFT game that can be played both independently and with friends. Blankos Block Party uses non-fungible Blankos tokens that can be bought, upgraded, or sold. The game was created by Mythical Games together with representatives of Third Kind Games.
According to Epic Games, the version of Blankos Block Party available in the Epic Games store is identical to the one that can be played on the game’s official website. Currently, Blankos Block Party is available only to a limited number of users, but starting from September 28, everyone will be able to download the game.
As a reminder, the developer Epic Games has a great influence in the gaming and, as it turned out, cryptocurrency spaces. Thus, in early June, Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney managed to get the Fortnite Token cryptocurrency removed from Twitter and the project closed as a whole — the token developers violated Epic Games' copyrights by copying the name and logo of the Fortnite game.
