XRP cryptocurrency developers are close to a historic victory over the US regulator

Ripple, the company behind the XRP cryptocurrency, is close to a historic victory over the US Securities and Exchange Commission — Ripple has managed to get the so-called Hinman documents made public. William Hinman is the former director of the SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance, and Hinman’s documents refer to one of his speeches during which the regulator stated that Ethereum is not a security. Hinman’s documents are an important argument in the court case — if ETH is not a security, then XPR cannot be considered one either.

It should be noted that amid the ongoing litigation, the notorious owner of the Bitboy Crypto YouTube channel Ben Armstrong criticized former SEC representative William Hinman. On his Twitter account, the blogger accused Hinman of taking bribes to declare Ethereum a security.

In his accusations, Armstrong referred to the comments of Cardano (ADA) founder Charles Hoskinson, who had previously addressed this issue on his page. The blogger also advised Ripple to focus on its arguments for better regulatory clarity.
