Developers have created a video game for aging dogs
In the UK, developers of the Joipaw startup have created a video game for aging dogs. The inventors are convinced that in this way they will be able to maintain and even improve the cognitive abilities of aging animals.
According to the Axios portal, the educational video game for dogs is based on the standard «mole kick» mechanic — the animal needs to press its nose on a special screen protected from saliva.
According to the startup’s co-founder Dersim Avadar, the system has already been tested on twenty dogs. To attract the dogs' attention, peanut butter was first applied to the screen, but later the dogs were fascinated by the game without flavor rewards. Gradually, the level of the game becomes more difficult, and the progress is monitored by a tracker attached to the animal.
«Our goal is simple: to help every dog on the planet live a long, happy and healthy life. We do this by turning daily physical and mental activity into a permanent way of life with our console, games, and tracker,» the official Joipaw website says.
