SanDisk has released a drive for $ 2000
SanDisk has launched a new 2TB Extreme Pro UHS-II SD memory card. The device is offered on Amazon in the United States for $ 2000, which is actually about one dollar per gigabyte.
The card provides sequential read speeds of up to 310 MB/s and write speeds of up to 305 MB/s. The product is aimed primarily at professional photographers and videographers who need high write speeds when shooting HD video, as well as when taking high-resolution bursts of photos with large amounts of data.
However, the price of this new product looks too expensive even by the standards of the professional segment. In terms of price, it’s almost $ 1 per gigabyte. For comparison, a 2TB SanDisk Extreme Pro UHS-I SDXC card costs about $ 440, or about 21 cents per 1 GB. The more modern and faster 512GB SanDisk microSD Express sells for $ 120, which is about 23 cents per 1GB.
