Sam Bankman-Fried is looking for a hacker, and bloggers are looking for him

4:24 pm, November 30, 2022

In a recent interview with crypto blogger Tiffany Fong, Сем Бенкман-Фрід" href="https://noworries.media/biography/sem-benkman-frid/" data-bio-id="3697">Sam Bankman-Fried commented on the hacker attack on the FTX cryptocurrency exchange. The former CEO is confident that this is not a real attack by cybercriminals — according to Fried, the funds were stolen by FTX employees.

«I have narrowed down the circle of suspects to 8 people. It’s either one of the employees or someone just installed malware on the computer of a former employee,» Fried said

The FTX CEO added that he does not have access to the system now, so he cannot check which staff computer was hacked.

Fried also shared his opinion on the devaluation of the Binance-vyznav-shho-znav-pro-problemy-zbankrutiloyi-platformy-ftx/">FTX token: «In many ways, FTT was more legitimate than most digital assets. The token had good economic support. The reason for the collapse was the lack of liquidity,» Fried said

Tiffany Fong asked Bankman-Fried if the crash could have been prevented if Чанпен Чжао" href="https://noworries.media/biography/chanpen-chzhao/" data-bio-id="3681">Changpeng Zhao had not decided to sell off FTT. «I think the situation would have been much easier for us. We would have had more options for raising liquidity,» commented the former FTX CEO.

Becknman-Fried said that his lawyers opposed his taking full responsibility for the FTX collapse. It is noteworthy that the businessman himself faced a number of legal problems amid the exchange’s bankruptcy — a class action lawsuit worth about $ 11 billion was initiated against him. At the same time, there are more and more calls for Benckman-Fried's extradition to the United States.

Despite the fact that law enforcement agencies in the Bahamas and the United States are still trying to find Fried, cryptocurrency bloggers Ben Armstrong, known as Bitboy Crypto, and Gabriel Haynes have launched their own search for the controversial FTX founder. The crypto YouTubers decided to work separately, but both hope to talk to Fried about the crypto exchange’s bankruptcy and market crash.

As a reminder, Samsung Next has been added to the list of affected companies that have lost money due to the bankruptcy of the FTX crypto exchange. At one time, the firm invested $ 420 million in the Sam Bankman-Fried exchange.
