Solana to release another cryptocurrency smartphone

Solana Mobile is preparing to introduce its second cryptocurrency smartphone to the market. It is expected that the new gadget will retain the characteristics that defined its predecessor, the Saga, including an integrated crypto wallet, specialized Android software, and access to a special «dApp store» for decentralized applications.

According to CoinDesk, citing sources, the new device will be cheaper, and the hardware will also undergo changes.

Initially, the price of the first Saga smartphone was $ 1000 dollars at the time of its launch last year, and later the gadget fell by half. Nowadays, Saga smartphones are asking more than $ 3,200 on eBay.

The growth of Saga’s market performance can be attributed to the distribution of the BONK hat meme token that comes with the phone. These digital tokens effectively compensated for the cost of the smartphone, which led to a quick sellout.

Earlier in December, Solana Saga smartphones, which initially had difficulty attracting buyers, reached prices of up to $ 5,000 on eBay.
