SpaceX will raise salaries for its employees who will move to the spaceport

As the first orbital launch of the Starship approaches, SpaceX management is encouraging employees to move to the spaceport, in which case their salaries will be increased by 10−25%, depending on their position.

In addition to increasing the salaries of those who will move to work at the SpaceX Starbase in South Texas, the company has also increased the hourly wage for employees who already work there. SpaceX plans to give out performance awards in 2023.

SpaceX Starbase is a production site and test spaceport located near the village of Boca Chica in Texas. Starbase’s mission is to provide SpaceX with a mission control center and a unique manufacturing facility for the creation of Starship spacecraft. According to the latest news, SpaceX intends to conduct the first orbital flight of the Starship spacecraft in December this year.

In late May, SpaceX successfully launched the first crypto satellite Crypto1, created by Cryptosat, into orbit. The main task of the satellite is to protect blockchains and Web3. According to SpaceX representatives at the time, Crypto1 has an almost absolute level of reliability: to influence the data encryption gadget, one would have to go into space and reach the satellite.
