Ethereum community to hold a large-scale event for tech startups in Kyiv

Representatives of the Kyiv Ethereum Community have announced a large-scale tech event for Ukrainian startups — Web3 Ukraine Startup Pitch Day. The event is organized by the ethereum community in cooperation with the crypto enthusiast hub NEAR UA.

Web3 Ukraine Startup Pitch Day will take place on November 12 in Kyiv, and is open to startup developers who have received an invitation letter with all the details by email (after pre-registration). «We want to see what projects Ukrainians are doing in such difficult times and help them find funds if needed. We want to provide feedback from experts and funds that have considerable experience in creating and developing startups,» the event organizers said.

Kyiv Ethereum Community has also added 50 seats for those who want to attend the event but have not registered or been selected to present their own startup. Tickets are available on the Eventbrite website and cost $ 10.

«We love our country very much and appreciate everyone who is building startups no matter what. That is why the main goal of this event is to help startups find what they are looking for or point out what is preventing them from growing,» the representatives of Kyiv Ethereum Community emphasized.

In early September, Kyiv hosted the Kyiv Tech Summit hackathon, which was attended by the father of Ethereum Vitalik Buterin. During the panel discussion, Buterin and the other guests discussed the use of cryptocurrencies to finance Ukraine in the current situation, the post-war role of blockchain and technology in the country’s recovery, and many other painful but necessary topics.

«I think Ukraine can become the next Web3 hub. The Ethereum Foundation has centers in Boulder (Colorado, USA), Berlin, and Singapore, as crypto communities have grown organically there. A country can become a Web3 center if its citizens are actively interested in this technology and decide to make a significant contribution to its development. Ukraine has both the capabilities and the determination to do so,» Vitalik Buterin said at the time.
