Co-founder of the largest NFT company warns users about hacker attacks

1:15 pm, June 13, 2022

Gordon Goner, co-founder of Yuga Labs, has warned of a possible attack on their social media accounts after receiving «credible information» that someone inside Twitter is helping to circumvent account security.

In this regard, Yuga Labs, which is the creator of a number of popular collections of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), including Bored Ape (BAYC) and Otherside, has contacted Twitter’s security department with a statement about the need for an internal investigation. Twitter has promised to pay special attention to the situation in addition to the standard means of protecting the user’s account.

Posting warning tweets, Goner informed stakeholders that the company would never conduct unexpected collection mines, which is a popular bait used by attackers to lure victims. It was with this trick that the company’s Discord server was once again hacked, resulting in the hackers stealing 145 to 200 ether units (ETH) via a phishing link.
