Dogecoin co-founders quarrel on Twitter over Elon Musk
Jackson Palmer, the co-founder of Dogecoin, posted on Twitter that he was blocked by his colleague and another co-founder of the meme cryptocurrency, Billy Marcus. It seems that the main reason for this step was Palmer’s «anti-cryptocurrency» stance.
Unlike Marcus, who is known in cryptocurrency circles for his loyalty to Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Palmer is extremely critical of the billionaire. Palmer has repeatedly called Musk a fraud, questioning his programming skills and claiming that the tech mogul is «using cryptocurrency to boost his ego.» This led to a public dispute between him and the eccentric Tesla boss.
In turn, Marcus strongly supported Musk, praising his controversial political stance and memes. One Twitter user even complained about the Dogecoin co-founder: «This guy blocked me when I asked why he was too protective of Elon Musk.»
Interestingly, Marcus himself was a serious critic of the cryptocurrency industry. Back in May, he predicted the collapse of the cryptocurrency market. However, unlike Palmer, who abandoned Dogecoin many years ago, Marcus continued to support the meme coin. The media reported that he sold all his Dogecoins for a used car back in 2015.
