Investors Binance.com/en/square/post/01−11−2026-bitcoin-news-etf-outflows-hit-681m-as-2026-begins-34 936 324 448 938">continue to withdraw funds from US spot cryptocurrency ETFs: from January 5 to January 9, 2026, outflows from bitcoin funds amounted to $ 681.01 million, and from Ethereum ETFs — $ 68.57 million. The largest negative result was recorded on January 7, when almost $ 486 million was withdrawn from Bitcoin ETFs.

The only day with a positive balance was January 5: bitcoin ETFs received an inflow of $ 697.25 million, and Ethereum ETFs — $ 168.13 million. The next day, ETH funds also showed an increase of $ 114.74 million, but the rest of the week ended in capital outflows.

Thus, the negative dynamics in the spot ETF segment has been observed for the third week out of the last four, indicating a decline in investor interest in these products in the short term.

Despite the outflow of funds, on January 12, the price of bitcoin exceeded $ 92,000, and Ethereum rose above $ 3,150, which demonstrates the relative stability of the market even as activity in the ETF sector declined.

Earlier it was reported that Morgan Stanley has applied to launch spot ETFs based on bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana, which could be an important factor for the development of the crypto market in the coming years.
