TAG Heuer to release a watch with an NFT screen
The Swiss watch brand TAG Heuer will release the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 watch, on which the owner will be able to display his non-fungible tokens.
According to TAG Heuer CEO Frédéric Arnault, the brand consulted with developers of popular crypto communities (BAYC, Cryptopunk, Clone-X, and Wow) to develop the new feature: «We have closely studied the NFT universe, which is inspiring in its technology. Our watch will allow users to showcase their digital assets.»
It is worth noting that TAG Heuer recently announced the possibility of paying for purchases with cryptocurrency. The payment can be made with one of 12 cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash, as well as Shiba Inu and DOGE meme coins and five stablecoins pegged to the dollar. There is no minimum transaction threshold, and the maximum size of a single transaction is $ 10,000. The same feature is available for customers of Gucci, Prada, and Balenciaga, which already accept cryptocurrency payments in their stores.
