Ripple’s CTO voiced his version of who the mysterious bitcoin developer is
Ripple’s CTO David Schwartz continues to believe that Сатоші Накамото" href="https://noworries.media/biography/satoshi-nakamoto/" data-bio-id="4232">Satoshi Nakamoto is a pseudonym for a collective rather than an individual.
In a recent Twitter exchange with other cryptocurrency enthusiasts, Schwartz agreed that the reason Nakamoto has disappeared and is not using his wealth is because the keys to these assets have been lost, or perhaps the members of the collective are dead. «It could have been a group of people, and as a result of the death of one of them, the passphrase was lost,» Schwartz believes.
It is worth noting that Satoshi Nakamoto is the owner of more than 1 million bitcoins out of a total possible amount of 21 million bitcoins mined. Since bitcoin was created by Nakamoto, no BTC has ever been withdrawn from any of his wallets, except for the initial 10 BTC transferred to Hal Finney in 2009.
It was rumored that Finney was a Bitcoin developer, but he consistently denied it. Finney died in August 2014.
