The man who called himself a bitcoin developer wants to have a dialog with the largest cryptocurrency projects

4:36 pm, January 28, 2024

The self-proclaimed creator of bitcoin has offered to end the legal dispute over the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto with a settlement agreement.

Craig Wright has made an offer to the Sgurto Open Patent Alliance (COPA) community, crypto exchanges Coinbase and Kraken, and Bitcoin Core developers who have sued him to settle the litigation over Nakamoto’s identity. The plaintiffs demand to recognize that Wright is lying when he claims to be the founder of the first cryptocurrency.

Craig Wright agrees to no longer make claims against the organizations related to his right to databases and copyrights to the BTC, BCH, and ABC blockchains. Instead, the plaintiffs are obliged to withdraw their claims in order to «ensure that bitcoin is used for the benefit of all, in accordance with legislation aimed at preventing illegal financial transactions.»

Craig Wright has made it clear that he will stop calling himself Satoshi Nakamoto, develop blockchain technologies, such as Bitcoin Satoshi Vision (BSV), and most importantly, spend more time with his family. COPA, Coinbase, Kraken, and Bitcoin Core have not yet responded to his offer to settle the lawsuit.

Earlier, the Supreme Court of England refused to allow Craig Wright to appeal the decision of the lower courts, which did not see any lies in the statements of one of the bloggers who accused the self-styled Satoshi Nakamoto of impersonation.
