Twitter adds new cryptocurrency widgets to the platform
Twitter developers have added a feature to the platform that displays price charts of the top 30 cryptocurrencies for users without any announcements.
The updates build on the $Cashtags crypto initiative that Twitter Business announced on December 21, 2022.
In the coming weeks, we’ll refine the user experience and expand our coverage of symbols.

Now, whenever a user tweets a stock, exchange-traded fund, or cryptocurrency symbol with a US dollar icon in front of it, they will be able to see an active link that will take them to search results with price charts for the assets in question. Busines also noted on Twitter that a simple search for a stock or cryptocurrency ticker will also show a price chart.
At the time of writing, the option includes the following cryptocurrencies: Tether (USDT), Binance USD (BUSD), Cardano (ADA), Solana (SOL), Polygon (MATIC), Litecoin (LTC), Avalanche (AVAX) Uniswap (UNI), Dogecoin (DOGE), Shiba Inu (SHIB), and other cryptocurrencies from the top 30. However, the feature is not yet available for BNB, Polkadot (DOT), and Tron (TRX).
The source of the price charts is the trading analysis platform TradingView. The charts also contain a link with the «View Robinhood» icon, which indicates that the retail marketplace has partnered with Twitter. However, the details of the partnership between Twitter and Robinhood have not yet been disclosed by either party.
It is worth mentioning that Twitter is working on launching a digital rewards system — the new feature will allow users to financially incentivize tweeting. The reward will be an internal Twitter token that can be purchased for fiat money.
