Twitter integrates NFT tokens into posts

6:43 pm, October 21, 2022

Twitter representatives signed a partnership agreement with popular NFT marketplaces, including OpenSea, Rarible, Magic Eden, Dapper Labs, and Jump.trade. The partners will integrate NFTs into the «tweet tiles» mode, so users will be able to share their NFTs on Twitter.

«The ability to embed NFTs complete with relevant information and a direct link to the product will drive sales and help discover new and popular collections ,» said Twitter representatives. Tweet tiles are a new type of post that Twitter launched back in August. Tweet tiles contain large images and allow changing fonts. The innovation makes the content on Twitter more dynamic, attracting users.

NFT collectors will be able to publish their tokens in the Tweet tiles format, sharing new products with their followers. The posts will contain information about each NFT, including the name of the token, collection, and author. Each user will also be able to confirm ownership of the token by connecting their crypto wallet.

In early October, Twitter representatives announced the launch of the post editing feature for users in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, a feature added despite warnings that cryptocurrency fraudsters could use the new functionality for malicious purposes. From now on, users will be able to edit their posts within 30 minutes after they are published, and they can correct a post no more than 5 times.
