Twitter has officially changed the social network logo to X

Twitter’s domain has been changed to x.com. This was announced by the platform’s CEO Elon Musk. «X.com now points to twitter.com. The intermediate X logo will appear today,» the businessman wrote on his page.

Yesterday, on July 23, Musk announced that he was going to remove the bird symbol from the company’s logo: «We will soon say goodbye to the Twitter brand and gradually to all the birds.» At the same time, he said that he was considering the X symbol as a possible new logo.

The new Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino recently wrote on her page that «X is just beginning.» And today she posted a new logo for the social network and wrote: «X is here! Let’s do it!»

«X is a future state of unlimited interactivity centered on audio, video, messaging, payments/banking, and creating a global marketplace of ideas, goods, services, and opportunities. Thanks to artificial intelligence, X will connect us in ways we are only beginning to imagine,» says Iaccarino.

In October 2022, when Musk acquired Twitter Inc. he changed its name to X Corp. He said it reflected his desire to create a «super app» like China’s WeChat.

The businessman believes that Twitter X will cover «half of the world’s payment system.» However, Musk emphasized that the success of the plan is possible only if «everything goes according to plan and is done correctly.»
