Twitter has filed a lawsuit against Dogecoin king Elon Musk

The American social network Twitter has filed a lawsuit against billionaire Elon Musk over Musk’s termination of the $ 44 billion deal to buy the social network.

According to the lawsuit documents, Twitter representatives claim that Elon Musk violated the terms of the merger agreement signed earlier by both parties. It is also said that Musk «has repeatedly made disparaging remarks about Twitter».

As a reminder, Twitter’s management hired the law firm Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz to prepare and file the lawsuit. Also, a few days earlier, Brett Taylor, Chairman of the Board of Twitter, stated that: «Twitter's board of directors is committed to closing the deal at the price and terms agreed to with Musk and plans to sue to enforce the agreement. We are confident that we will prevail in the Delaware court.»

Earlier, Musk accused the social network of violating their agreement and providing false information. In a statement, Musk said that his side had made requests for data and information necessary to «conduct an independent assessment of the prevalence of fake or spam accounts on the Twitter platform».
