Google has launched a countdown to Ethereum’s transition to the green blockchain

Google Cloud developer Sam Padilla demonstrated the latest Google Search update, which includes a countdown to the transition of Ethereum to the Proof-of-Stake consensus.

When searching for «Ethereum Merge,» users can now observe a widget with a countdown to the Merge, the current hashrate, current difficulty, and the complexity of the merge.

The addition demonstrates the degree of interest from the largest companies (the so-called FANGs), as well as the amount of general interest in the event. Interest in The Merge has increased dramatically over the past few weeks, and Google predicts that it will continue to grow in the coming days.

The countries most interested in The Merge are Luxembourg, St. Helena, Singapore, North Macedonia, and Lithuania.
