Colombia’s national land registry has been transferred to blockchain technology
According to recent reports, the Colombian government is ready to take advantage of blockchain technology (XRP). Peersyst Technology, a Ripple partner that is also engaged in software development and blockchain development, announced that it has launched the first National Land Registry in XRP (XRPL) for more than 50 million Colombians.
The Barcelona-based firm made the announcement in a tweet on July 1, noting that it has been working on the project in conjunction with Colombia’s Digital Government Initiative and the country’s Ministry of Information Technology and Communications for over a year.
According to Triple-A, 6.1% of Colombia’s population owned cryptocurrency in 2021, and 80% of Colombians expressed interest in cryptocurrencies in a survey.
